Axomiya Super Hero is an Assamese-Superhero movie produced by LoiJaa Studios. Directed by Dave Saikia, and starring Vivek Borah, Anju Borah, Pankaj Dalani, Apurba Pathak, and Uzzal Haloi. (Munindra Nath Sharma, Bhaben Chandra Baishya, Kajal Rani Deka, and Rishi Raj Das in pivotal roles).
About the Movie:
The script, written by Dave Saikia, originated as an idea to put two evil-natured energy against each other. An effort to show, how sinister powers can be used to dominate the wicked itself. The film follows Vivek Saikia, an easy-going nerdy student who obtains a kind of supernatural power priorly safeguarded by his father. The antagonist Spider sharing the same source of the origin turns out more powerful and dominating than the first. The story is the struggle and challenge for Vivek and a battle of how he manages to challenge someone larger than himself.
The movie is Sci-Fi thriller and Action.
Pre-Production:
The shooting of the movie began in November 2018 and took place entirely in Guwahati. The post-production involved
- The application of visual effects is hoped to be a technological breakthrough in the Assamese film industry.
- Practical ropes and usage of green screen
Vivek Borah has been exclusively working on the project ever since. Axomiya Super Hero will be theatrically released in February 2022 in the Assamese language. The Team is working on the post-production since May 2020.
Cast:
The major character of Axomiya Super Hero is played by Vivek Borah. Anju Borah is appearing as Maya Borah(Viveks Girlfriend). Primary antagonist Uzzal Deka. Supporting roles were played by Apurba Pathak, Pankaj Dalani. Additional minor roles were played by Bhaben Chandra Baishya, Munindra Nath Sharma, Rishi Raj Das, Beauty Rajbongshi, Asha ud daulla, and Hira Prem Khan. An important voice-over is provided by Dave Saikia. Vivek performs as the lead and is the one man responsible for the VFX of the movie.
Vivek, Uzal, and Pankaj Dalani were the first actors to be cast in the film. Three actors had initially been considered for the lead female role: Anju Borah was ultimately chosen because of her natural charisma. Anju resembles the character as per Script and the director insisted on giving her the part.
Apurba Pathak ( Executive Producer of the movie) accepted the role of Apu Gunda, a small-time drug dealer after Dave Saikia expressed a strong desire to cast him in the film.

Several cast members prepared extensively for their roles; Vivek followed special diets to lose weight while Uzzal had to gain a considerable amount of weight. Vivek learned MMA only for the movie. Vivek and Uzzal along with all the crew members performed their own stunts.
However, the cast did encounter problems during production. Vivek faced difficulties with his superhero suit and Rope sessions and he even suffered from an injured arm and ankle many times.
Behind the story:
According to the director, the idea of the Assamese Superhero originated when his childhood superstar Stan Lee passed away. He is attracted to the idea and concept of superheroes which made him write a script based on evil vs good.
He quotes “Its God that I worship, its demon I blame, conspires as one, exactly the same”.
Dave then met Vivek an old-time childhood friend and they both approached Apurba Pathak, who liked the story and decided to produce the film under his newly formed production company Loi Jaa Productions later turned into LoiJaa Studios.
Apurba Pathak felt that the film possessed significant commercial potential, in addition to being a fulfillment of his “childhood dream” too and be a part of a superhero.

He also added, he wanted to make a film dedicated to his mother Late Haribala Pathak, Apurba’s idea was to make a thriller drama that expanded into an action film. The movie wouldn’t have been planned if they didn’t meet Vivek Borah who had a good VFX and animation background. Vivek Promises the film lovers a Blockbuster by the start of 2022.
